Meg's Nya - grump
You know when you see something, and....read it one way when it really says something else? Yeah, well....make that thing you're reading someone's signature (which are usually unreadable anyway), and....and I know you'll understand. 6,6;;

Me: *picks up a piece of mail to take it to the right person's desk - kind of gets a glance of the signature on the cover letter* *stops* Huh?
Pocket!Yami: What is it?
Me: >,>...I ah....I-it looked like someone signed the letter a-as....."Butthole". *what? That's what it looks like...*
Pocket!Yami: O,o....I'm....assuming they didn't actually.....right?
Me: No....it's a "Bill" something.....he really needs to be more careful about what letters he crosses when he scribbles his name though, 'cause it sure looks like it. *shows him*
Pocket!Yami: o,o;;;; Yeah....it ah...*coughs* Does look like that, doesn't it?
Me: *snickers* Yeah....yeah, it does. ^,^;; *goes and delivers the mail, knowing she's likely the only one that would catch something like that*

Wait....wut?

  • Nov. 16th, 2009 at 11:39 AM
Eh?
Okay....correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of having a sink in the bathroom to be able to wash your hands.....after...you go to the bathroom? If so....then /why/ would anyone wash their hands.....use the toilet.....and wash their hands again. I mean....why waste the water, the soap, and the effort to wash your hands /before/ you'll be using the facilities? I just.....don't see the logic.

*had to share the random moment and thought*

*just.....needs to rant a bit....*

Bite Me!

I love my co-workers...I really do...but some of them....sometimes....just DRIVE ME UP THE WALL!! .........One in particular. ~,~;; I swear the man does NOT understand the basics of communication, feels he must explain the same damn thing five times with only slightly different wording, and when you try to make a point of your own he ends up bring it back around to the previous point.....which was already covered and resolved....PLEASE, we’re moving ON now.

Most of the time, I try to just smile and nod and assure him I’ll, “play around with [the database] and see what I can do”. But sometimes he’s asking me to change or add things that DON’T NEED TO BE CHANGED OR ADDED. And for as impossible as it can be sometimes to get the man to see it, in the long run is saves me a lot of time....but until I get it through his thick skull that his logic is not logical we end up going over the same thing over and over and he tries to explain to me what he wants, and I try to explain to him why it’ll be more work and more confusing if I do it his way. I usually manage, in the end (after 20-30 minutes of going over things, over and over), to get him to see what I’m talking about, but.....D<

Today, it’s one of those stupid things, and I have to kick myself in the head for even /trying/ to make sense of things, ‘cause I work for the freaking government, nothing makes sense (which is why I think my co-worker seems to understand it so well, ‘cause he never makes sense either. >,>...). And so here, I’ve gotten myself all riled up over trying to make sense out of WHY he wanted me to do something, when (according to the scenario he kept insisting on using) it meant that bit of info would be changing anyway. SO WHY BOTHER RECORDING IT IF IT’S GONNA CHANGE?!?!?! I gave up, more or less told him to go away, and made the damn changes. Should have just made the damn changes to begin with it doesn’t affect me, he’s the one that’s got to remember one more step, and I have to remember one less, wtf do I care?

*SIGHS* All right....I’m done now.....well no...no I’m not....I wanna make it clear that the only reason I stay sane at this job sometimes is because of my wonderful, adopted sis. [info] dragondancer515 ~<3! Today’s her Birthday, go huggle her and make her feel loved, ‘cause she is. X3

*Ugh....sigh*
Two different things to share today....and I'm going to go with the really exciting one first. I almost ran over someone yesterday. No....I'm not joking, no I'm not talking figuratively, I /literally/ almost ran over some guy on a skateboard on my way home from work. TTTT~~TTTT I was stopped at a light, my light turned green and I started to go, and suddenly there was someone /right/ in front of me!! With the sun where it was, and everything, he basically came out of my blind spot. I /stopped/ and he went kind of stumble/running the rest of the way across the street (I was in the middle lane) looked like he was trying not to faceplant at first. He came back over and I backed up a bit so he could retrieve his skateboard, and then he came to my window to assure me he was okay. I was way too relieved that he was okay to be mad at him for being an idiot.

........and he was cute.  Like....really cute.  He wasn't black, but he did have darker skin, and had "black guy" hair.  Kind of long, in small little dreads.....bright eyes....cute grin. X3;;;  Yeah, he was hot.  Helped that he wasn't wearing a shirt either. X3;;;  So yeah, I almost ran over a cute guy yesterday.  All considering it was almost kind of surreal. 9~9;;

On a happier note. =D I got my hair cut. =D It was a bit past my shoulders and now it's short again. And curly. =D I've not had a purm in /years/, it's kind of nice to have something diffrent. =D It was my birthday present from my parents (along with some essentials I was running low on.....socks.....chapstick....). I've got some before and after pictures....let me see if I can put them up here. My work computer doesn't tend to like pictures on LJ soooo....

Nnnnnnyeah. Pictures won't cooperate here. So I'll put up another post tonight with pictures. =D

One of those odd nights/mornings...

Eh?

*flops* Hey everyone...thought I’d drop in an update. Had a hard weekend, some sort of stomach bug, and while my stomach’s feeling better I’m still feeling a bit wiped out. Due to that I was actually in bed by about 10:30/11:00. I was /out/, which doesn’t happen often (usually takes me a while to get to sleep).

I wake up to the alarm going off....not my wake up alarm...the house alarm. I’m thinking that maybe my mom /actually/ forgot to turn it off before opening the kitchen window or something, and kind of....”ugh” ‘cause I’m guessing it to be about 4:00/4:30.....only to find out that it was just a little before midnight...~<3 I could go back to bed and sleep, not just for an hour, but the rest of the night....and I was /out/ again. Heh...turns out my dad hit a button twice or something and set things off...*shrugs*

To add to the interesting this morning....we’re having a wind storm. Not raining....don’t think I saw enough clouds for us to get any rain, but they’re expecting gusts at a minimum of 35 mph today. My mom didn’t have to turn the house fan on to suck in the cool morning air, it was coming in the windows all by itself.

Spent my morning trying to keep my car in its lane, and watching the swirls of leaves and small branches at they attacked my wheels and those of the people in front of me. It’s a GOOD thing that we’re VERY UNLIKELY to get tornados out here.

And have I mentioned yet, that despite being to sleep practically as soon as my head hit the pillow I /still/ feel like I could go back to sleep, like.....NOW? TT~TT;;; M’tired today, didn’t want to wake up...heh...and apparently our elevators didn’t either.

*lady approaches elevators and hits button to go up, I come up to wait too....and wait....and wait.......and.....wait....*

Elevators: *making noises.....something’s moving in there....or so it sounds.....*

Me: .........I think they need to wake up too.

Lady: ?? Oh, heh, yeah I guess so....

*waiting......waiting........waiting.......ding!*

Elevator: *finally opens ~you may enter*

............Yeah....Pocket!Yami is chuckling at me for that one.  That’s the lame kind of stuff that comes out of me when I’m half asleep on my feet. X3;;;

So yeah...that’s been my night/morning so far....how’re you guys doing?

Fear the cute!

Heh...Hey everyone. Been a while since I’ve posted much of anything. Life’s been boring for the most part. X3;;; Same ol’, same ol’, ya know?

Been a week yesterday since getting my toe worked on. It’s healing nicely, and, while still an open wound, it’s not quite /as/ open. It’s closing up slowly and weeping less, so that’s good. =3 And not numb anymore, and surprisingly doesn’t hurt most the time. Hurts the most when I’ve got to mess with it a bit to clean it and put medicine on it, which is a resounding “DUH!”, but also unavoidable since I don’t want it infected. =3;; It’s doing really good! =3!

Got to see my nephews again!! ~<3 My sister and brother-in-law this time too! And I’ll see all of them again....tomorrow actually! My brother-in-law is a pastor of a church in Houston, TX, and both he and my sister were ordained at a conference that’s going on in San Diego this week. My parents and I drove out to San Diego Saturday, and picked up my sister and family from the airport Monday. That night they were ordained. XD I came home yesterday, ‘cause I needed to get back to work (Bleh), but they’ll all be heading here tomorrow (Thursday). I’ll work a half day and pick up my sister and bro-in-law from the airport here, and my parents will be driving back with the boys tomorrow after dropping my sister and bro-in-law at the airport. =3

And.....can I go back to San Diego now? TT~TT Better yet....can I move to Georgia already!?!? I’ve determined (once again) that it’s GOT to be my house at the /very/ least that hates me. My sinuses are clear, they’re SOOOO much better than they were, but I still fight with them a bit. By Sunday afternoon in San Diego, no...by Sunday /morning/ (and morning’s are always the worst for my sinuses) I was /great/ (sinuses were anyway). Not plugged up in the slightest, blew my nose once and not again the REST OF THE TIME I WAS THERE. Well....Monday night excluded, since walking into a building full of people wearing bottles of perfume, cologne, and various spray-on-hair-products just does a number on my sinuses.... But the rest of the time, sinuses were /completely/ clear, unclogged, or (more likely) un/swollen/. I think swelling from irritation to....../something/ is the problem most the time, ‘cause more often than not there’s nothing to come out, I’m just “stuffed up a bit”. By the time I went to bed last night, I was already fighting with my nose....still am....though I’m sure the COLD didn’t help last night.

You see...I got home last night to a brown out. Kitchen light wouldn’t turn on at all, but I think that’s because it’s a fluorescent light, and fluorescents don’t “dim”. Everything else was really dim and things like fans were running slow. Turned the fans off anyway, it was 65 in the house when I finally checked later that night, and with the brown out the heater wouldn’t come on (it tried....it just couldn’t though). About 10:30-ish power whet out completely. Glad I was in bed by then, would have been a pain trying to get myself and everything situated in complete darkness. My poor lizard is probably freezing though. T~T I keep a dimmed heating lamp on all night for him, keeps it about 80 in his tank and just enough light for a nocturnal animal to see just fine....with no power though...... It was FREEZING, I mean....I even went to bed with socks on, and I just DON’T do that (drives me NUTS to have something on my feet when I try to sleep). Left early this morning too, ‘cause it’d dropped to 63 in the house by morning, and I just couldn’t make myself stay longer than I had to, and with my nose giving me fist I was up about 10 min early too. >,>...

On a happy note, I’ve started a new book! “Wizard’s First Rule”, the first book in series that the television series “The Legend of the Seeker” was based off of. I love the show, I really do, and like anything that’s gone from book to television, there are differences. I can’t really say (yet) that I like one over the other. I really LOVE that I have a /definite/ visual of these characters in my head. Like reading a fanfiction. I already know what Yami looks like, I can SEE the look on his face, /hear/ his voice (be that the voice of his Japanese or American VA, the point is I “know” his voice). So as I read this book, I can see the look on Kahlan’s face, hear Zedd say this or that, see some of the looks Richard gives people, I can see the clothes they’re wearing, visualize the boundary as they approach it. I LOVE IT! For anyone interested in the series, I’d highly suggest watching the series first. TRUST me, it will NOT spoil the book for you.

Let’s put it this way, the basic plot is the same: The Seeker is named, and Darken Rahl MUST be stopped before his gets his hands on a VERY powerful magic that can control everyone as he sees fit. But the details, the things that happen, and, in some cases thus far, the /way/ they happen are completely different from book to show. Minor example. In show Kahlan comes to Westland looking for “the great wizard Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander”, she knows his name, and she even seems to know him when she finds him if I remember right. In book, Kahlan comes to Westland looking for “that great wizard”. She doesn’t know his name because no one does, Zedd made sure of that when he left, so when she meets Zedd she’s no idea who he is and that he’s is the one she’s looking for.

Oddly enough the differences don’t bother me at all. It’s kind of nice, and most of them I can /completely/ understand. Things like the Sword of Truth, and what it does to Richard, how it makes him feel and think when he draws the sword....there’s NO way to get that across on screen without having someone narrating his every thought and feeling. So they dropped that aspect of it in show. Another that wouldn’t have worked on screen is the fang/claw that Richard wears around his neck. In book he keeps it hidden, it’s a secret that /means/ something more than just being a sentimental memento of his father like it is in show, but it’s something he’s not /said/ anything about yet, and likely won’t for a while (if ever) in book...and so you’d only “know” about it if you had a narrator in show telling you about it.....lame. So its importance was dropped. There are other things too, but.... I dunno...I almost find the differences refreshing ‘cause it’s not “I know what’s gonna happen, I watched the show” (or vice verse for those that read the book first), it’s new, it different, it’s something completely separate to enjoy as its own story. The basic plot, the “story” is the same, and yet vastly different in ways, and so enjoyable, especially if taken separately rather than together as though they’re meant to be the same. =3

So yeah....go watch, then read if you’ve not already. XD It’s all so much fun!

Mmmm....I should probably get some work done now......been here for three hours and have done nothing work related yet. T~T;;;

*Ugh....sigh*

..............................................
WARNING!! This is NOT for people with weak constitutions! But I do wish to share yesterday’s experience. (I’ve not posted anything else in so long, so...)

Okay...first the set up. I’ve had problems with an in-grown toenail for a while now. It’d get infected (same toe, same side of toe), I’d have to care for it and dig the nail out of the skin and /very/ shortly after the nail had grown out enough to no longer be a problem...it’d break...and start the whole process over again. So....I finally emailed my doctor about it and he said he’d set me up with an appointment with a Nurse Practitioner to do this little procedure to remove a part of the nail. Well....that appointment was yesterday afternoon....

Shelley, the RNP, was /really/ nice. She kind of checked things over and got me ready for the procedure, and apologized that the worse part would be getting it numbed. OH GOD, SHE WAS SO NOT kidding!!! TTTTTT~~~~~TTTTTT Have any of you had to have an IV for any reason? If you have did they give you this little shot first that made a bubble under the skin, but numbed the area a bit so the IV didn’t hurt going in, or /staying/ in? Yeah, well...that’s the stuff they used on me. She used the canister of stuff to make the skin COLD (and if you’ve ever gotten /really/ cold, you know how much that can BURN and ACHE), and then stuck the needle in....and the stuff going in under the skin HUUUUUURTSOMGWTFBBQ!!!!! She had to do this three times, on either side of the two and on the bottom, all around the base of it, so now my toe just above the join is “swollen” to twice the size and /aching/ until the med actually started to work....which THANKFULLY didn’t take long....

Then it was a matter of waiting. I admit I was nervous, wasn’t sure what to expect really, but just /sitting/ there alone for 15-20 min was driving me crazy. Heh....if they’d attempted to take my blood pressure then, it likely would have been /really/ high, just from nerves.

And then the “fun” began. It was so....surreal. I couldn’t feel a thing, not even pressure, but I sat there and watched everything and....*squick!* It was weird, ‘cause I knew I “should” feel it, and I wanted to pull away, but I couldn’t feel it, and even though I could plainly see that that foot is attached to /my/ leg....it was like....it wasn’t /my/ foot....my toe....

Okay, if you're squeamish, you may want to skip this little bit... )

My poor wrapped up toe was about ten times the size it normally is, and there was NO way I was getting the bandaging /and/ my foot back in my shoe. Thankfully they had a shoe for me, this nifty looking thing that opens completely on the top and was “open toed”. So she strapped the shoe onto my foot, gave me a “goody bag” of stuff for me to take care of the toe for the next few weeks, and sent me on my way. =3 Again, she was really nice, and we laughed and talked while she worked. She’d warned me that if I was squeamish that I’d not want to watch, and when I did she kind of laughed and made the comment that the ones that usually handle it so badly are the big tough guys. XD “The bigger they are, the harder they fall.”

So yes....that was my experience last night... My toe is /still/ numb, like the....pins-and-needles-just-waking-up numb, so it feels REALLY strange to walk around, let alone try to keep something like flip-flops on. You don’t really think about what your toes kind of subconsciously do to keep your backless shoes on until you can /feel/ it. =D Oh well....better numb than in PAIN, which it very well may be once the numbness wears off. *le sigh*

On the up-side, once everything is all healed, it shouldn’t be obvious that I’m missing a part of my toenail. =3 She took just a small piece off the edge

| | <~~~~~~~== Maybe about that wide. So yeah. =3 Looking at it now, I can’t tell at all, but it’s swollen and healing so, well see what it’s like when it’s all healed. XD I just hope I never have to do it again, though....'cause that numbing stuff HUUUUUUUUURT!!!!

It's a B-day!!

[info]frenziedpanda7 is absolutely AMAZING!! ~<3

This random little thing came up in the comments of this thread. Well....Dragon and I proceeded to talk about it on the phone later. How not only could we see someone tormenting Yami with the hammer, but then him sending it to the Shadow Realm and Dark Magician being tormented with it...And so I took this request to Panda...for she is a goddess when it comes to pulling off the fluff without it feeling lame. ~<3 And this....is SOOOO WONDERFUL!!! *still giggling helplessly as she thinks about it*

Title:
YuGiOh! The Tale Of The Inflatable Hammer
Summary:
Jonouchi and Honda were just having a little fun teasing Yugi. Unfortunatly, it wasn't actually Yugi...
Excerpt:
A flash of color reflected in the bus window caught the Spirit’s attention.
BAM- SQUEAK!
Oh
no, that did NOT just happen! There is no way Jonouchi would dare-
BAM-SQUEAK!
Apparently he would, especially with Honda egging him on… The spirit kept watch through the bus window. One more time, just try it ONE more time, you two…
BAM-SQUE-“HEY!”

The differences in opinions

  • Aug. 10th, 2009 at 12:39 PM
Fear the cute!
~<3  I love cute things.  I'm a sucker for anything small, soft or cute (without being grossly exaggerated...I like puppies and kittens kind of cute, basically...).  Well sometimes you get an amusing little....reality check?...that the things you like....others may not. X3;;

My mom and I went out to lunch today, just because. The restaurant we went to is literally next door to a Starbucks so as we left we decided to stop in and get some drinks. We order (my mom's treat since I paid for the appetizer we got at the restaurant. X3), and while she pays I go sit down. When she comes over to join me a lady by the door lets out a startled "Oh!" of sorts and is looking at something on the ground. She starts pointing it out to a couple guys that work there and my mom steps over to see what it is.

Mom: Oh, it's a bat. =3
Lady: A bat? Really? Eww! *keeping her distance, just glad it's outside, but also looking like she's trapped because of that*
Me: A bat? *gets up and looks* ~<3
Bat: *it's a tiny thing trying to crawl on top of the metal frame of the window, highly aware of all the giant creatures watching it* *scramblescrambleHIDE!*
Lady: Oh! That's so creepy! *heads deeper into the store*
Me: Aww....isn't he adorable?
Mom: *chuckles* She's over here saying how creepy it is and you go off on how cute it is. *amused*
Me: XDD

Well, it's made it's way along the window and slips through the crack made between door and wall when door is open and starts skittering over the welcome mat. X3 One of the guys that works there put his shoe in front of it and got it to go back outside and followed it with an empty box. Once he caught it he took it into a nearby alley, a much safer place than a busy sidewalk by a main road.

Mom and I can't help but contemplate whether it was sick or injured, though. Bats instinctually hide during the day, so either something woke him enough that he started wondering the streets (and likely injured him when he fell, or....?), or, more likely, we're thinking he might have rabbies. One stage of rabbies is to make the animal.....stupid...acting against instinct...*shrugs* We don't know for sure, and never will, nevertheless....

It was CUTE!!! ~<3 XDDDDD

You did WHAT?!
*shudders* I mentioned before the radio station I listen to? Mostly music, silly banter between the hosts every few songs that only lasts a minute or two? Well they'd been talking about their addictions today. Shawn used to be addicted to Dots until he ate some in the dark only to discover later that they were teaming with ants. Sterling is still addicted to Starbursts (Shawn was teasing that he could put a cockroach in the bag to help break her addiction. O,o...). But all of this came up because of a news story that Shawn had heard about a guy addicted to Diet Pepsi...and what he found in his just opened can. XS *SQUICK!* The guy had opened his can and taken a big gulp only to realize that something was NOT right, it tasted awful!! And....for good reason..... Apparently there was a dead mouse in the can. A MOUSE! *SHUDDERS* Eww!!

Here's the news story if you want to see the pictures.
WARNING
These pictures are not for the faint of heart. It IS however safe to click the link and read the story, the pictures are below that if you wish to avoid them. >,o....Here is is *feels bad for the poor mouse....TT~TT*

Brain: *stops ~ wait, what? But I thought it was Wednesday, or is it Thursday...?*
Me: ...........*trying to process*
Brain: *but mom stayed home today. Her day off is Wednesday, so....but she [Louise] said....~shorting out~*
Me: .....Is it?
Louise: Yeah, I'm going camping tomorrow.
Brain: *Ahhhh, so /that's/ it...*
Me: Ahhh....so it's the last day for /you/.
Louise: Yeah.
Me: *heading out of the kitchen* You shouldn't confuse people like that. Especially this early in the morning, it's not nice. ^_~
Louise: *chuckles* Sorry.

Yeah....it's too early for people to go confusing me like that. Or rather it's the best time /to/ confuse me...it's all too easy. *tired grin*

!?!??!?!?!??!
I....I'm sorry, I HAD to share.  This kind of...insanity...makes me think of some of the bad fic stuff that [info]lucidscreamer  has been posting recently.  I just got this in an email from my uncle. ~,~;;;

How would you pronounce this child's name:

         "Le-a"

Leah?? NO
Lee - A?? NOPE
Lay - a??
   NO WAY
Lei?? Guess Again.

This child attends a school in
Detroit, MI. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.

It's pronounced "Ledasha."

When the Mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she say, "the dash don't be silent."

Soooo, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce the dash.

If they ask you why, tell them the dash don't be silent.

For you sis. *HUGS*

Bald

This is....kind of pulled from a scene in an IM rp that [info]dragondancer515 , [info]raseleane , [info]crystalcleared , Kibou and I have had going off and on for four years now (or close to). I don’t have the actual document of the incident with me, else I’d write it directly from there (probably good I don't too, 'cause it'd probably be /really/ long). This will have to do, though. *HUGS Dragon* This one’s for you, hon. Glad you’re doin’ better already, but hopefully this will help a little more too. =3 *determines to find these documents and write out the full story sometime. XD;;*

Three words. Three words that could send people into a fit of giggles. Three words that could make a certain spirit blush nearly purple in remembered mortification. How Yami hated those words, and yet they amused him as much as anyone else, now that the incident was done and past. Those three words? Black Silk Boxers.

It had been an embarrassing loss to begin with. Two poltergeists had found their way to Grandpa Mutou’s new shop, and were wrecking playful havoc on anyone and everyone they could. Martial arts master, Genkai, had warned Yami not to take them on, but he did not listen, confident as always that he could exorcize a couple of troublemaking ghosts. He had been too cocky, though, and the Shadows did not bring about a victory for him. Instead he was stuck paying the Penalty the two pranksters decided for him. He had to sell his underwear on eBay.

As a spirit, Yami did not have underwear of his own, so he would have to find a way to pay his penalty. His adoptive sister, with an amused grin plastered to her face, purchased a pair of black silk boxers, and a bottle of gold puff paint. The paint was used to write “Duel King” across the front of the band in an attempt to personalize and “make” the piece of clothing his. It was not enough. To make the underwear his own the poltergeists insisted that he had to wear them, for at least an hour.

Yami, resigned to his fate, headed to the one place he would be able to do that. The chatroom was a special place, a magical link between worlds and realities, and something about the ambient energies allowed him to be as visible and tangible as the living. So he sat for an hour on one of the many couches, the too-big boxers pined in place in case he wanted to get up and walk around. Yami did not feel like moving much. It did not help that he was required to have witnesses to this embarrassment, so Dragon and Yugi sat on either side of him, attempting not to laugh, and unable to help themselves from lightly teasing from time to time.

When it was time to remove the unmentionables Yami did not bother to pull them down to step out of. Letting go of his solid state the underwear fell to the floor as Yami backed away from the hateful thing. Dragon moved to the computer in the corner and put up the auction. His Penalty would be paid when someone purchased them. Yami could not help but wonder what would happen if they never sold...or worse...if they did.

When he got the word that the article of clothing had sold he was with Yugi and Dragon and another friend, Lunnaei. Dragon was checking the auction and let out a laugh, announcing that the auction was over and there was a single bidder.

“There’s WHAT?!” Yami was not sure he wanted to know, especially when Lunnaei’s interest was sparked. Another stipulation to his punishment was that if anybody asked, he was obligated to tell, or let someone else tell.

Lunnaei’s reaction was not exactly what he had been expecting. When she looked at the site to see the details of the auction she went crimson, face behind her hands. She was not laughing though, not like he expected her to do. Yugi and Dragon explained, and that only seemed to make Lunnaei sink farther down into the chair with a mortified groan. That...worried Yami.

And a few moments later he learned why. Lunnaei had been the one to purchase the boxers, and for him no less. The both of them blushing she explained how she had thought of him when she’d seen them, and just could not resist the gag-gift and the reaction they would pull from her friend. Lunnaei was always fishing for reactions from people, and this was just another chance to do so. Yami was not sure what to do, he was not sure what to say. Embarrassment raged within him, the tidal wave of emotions flip flopping from enraged to amused and everywhere in between. Finally he did the only thing he could do. He laughed. Yami laughed long and hard, finally letting go of the whole incident. What could he do? It was his pride that had landed him in this humiliating situation and Lunnaei was a friend, she was not out to harm him in any way. So he just laughed.

His laughter proved infectious and in short time everyone was laughing. To this day those three little words, Black Silk Boxers, flooded people with memories, and always would. A part of Yami would always hate those words and the humiliation that came with them, but even he could not help but smile when he heard them.

So when he walked into the room to see his sister sitting with a frown on her face he knew he had to try something. He already knew what was wrong, and nothing he did could help, but maybe something he said. He could not help the small smile as he leaned down to whisper in her ear.

“Black Silk Boxers.”
